With over 25 years working in senior HR roles, Gillian has significant business experience in the Media, Retail, FMCG, Legal, Automotive and Consultancy sectors. Working in a diverse range of sectors has enabled Gillian to adapt quickly to the specific needs of her clients’ businesses. She is passionate about helping organisations grow their revenues, increasing engagement, efficiencies and profitability.
At global workwear company Williamson-Dickie Europe, “Dickies”, Gillian held a statutory board role as HR Director across 8 European countries and the Middle East where she was targeted on growing sales revenues, as well as setting and delivering on the People Strategy across the Group.
Gillian was previously HR Director and Head of HR at media giant, Future Plc, where she was responsible to its board of directors for HR Strategy and operations including for example, HR Policy, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Resourcing as well as engagement and the development of family friendly policies.
Gillian has extensive experience in transformation, employee relations, talent acquisition, talent management, internal communications and compensation and benefits. She is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD), as well as being qualified in Psychometric Testing and Personality Profiling. Known for her down to earth and ‘let’s get things done’ approach, Gillian likes rolling up her sleeves and getting involved in whichever people priorities are going to deliver the most value for her clients.
When not working, Gillian likes spending time with her family and friends, dog walking and participating in competitive cycling events. She is also interested in foreign languages with fluency in French and Italian.
