Janet is a commercially driven HR Director who translates business vision into meaningful and engaging HR strategies and actions.
Focused on delivering performance improvement and employee engagement, she has over 25 years’ experience in both corporate and interim roles as an HR Director.
Janet has worked domestically and internationally for a range of organisations including FTSE 100 companies as well as SME’s and is a fellow of the CIPD.
As part of her corporate career, Janet has held the position of HR Director with Sears, Channel 4, Hallmark, Northern Foods and the Burton Group. As an interim, she has worked in a variety of organisations including; Pennon Plc, Darlington Building Society, YES (part of the Travel Leaders Group),
As a Consultant, Janet has delivered a range of projects for large, mid and small companies including DFS, Avantigas, Praesidiad, Zelus Sport, Siddall & Hilton, W3 Club, DVAD, Brighter Facilities Management, Gee Graphite, Anexo Plc, The Co-operative Group, as well as working in the public sector within education and the NHS. She has been awarded a number of awards for excellence in HR practice within some of these organisations.
Janet has worked with a variety of stakeholders; CEO’s, Executive and Non-Executive Boards, Senior Leadership teams, Trade Unions, Industry bodies, Regulators, Remuneration Committees. As part of her portfolio, she has also had responsibility for payroll, internal communications, facilities management, health and safety as well as the more typical people functions of; talent, reward, learning & development, organisational development, employee relations and resourcing.
Change and transformation is a particular strength and passion and Janet has plentiful experience in supporting organisations to identify their own unique strategy to accomplish their vision.
