Paul has experience of working in PLC, purpose-based family, not for profit and PE backed organizations and has lived and worked outside of the UK. Recognized as a trusted coach, mentor and confident to Board and Executive Committee members, Paul is well versed in leading and implementing change across multiple stakeholder groups.
Paul has held senior People and HRD roles at a range of diverse organisations; Dow Chemical, Scottish Hydro Electric, Allied Domecq, Lucent Technologies, My Travel, Santander, SThree, Worldpay, Oxford University Press and Bibby Financial Services.
All of Paul’s senior level roles have carried common themes; creating a people agenda through which to drive the business agenda for organisations in transformation; addressing the changing landscape in which they operate; meeting the necessity of technology advancement and the changing market opportunity. In all instances, Paul has taken or created a People function/agenda with a common purpose, a single way of operating and clear strategic priorities through the identification of the key people issues.
Having spent 10 years as a Director of Organisation Development, Paul is passionate about the effective implementation of change and transformation programmes, the development of internal talent across an organisation through access to learning as a continuous process, creating a culture to foster innovation and agile thinking and removing barriers to enable decision making at the right level.
