A trusted advisor to CEOs and senior leaders, Jane is recognised for aligning people and culture with strategic business goals. In her last role as Chief People Officer at Colart International Holdings Ltd, a £140m global leader in premium art materials, she sat on the executive leadership team and lead the people agenda across the business in 10 countries.
Operating at the intersection of strategy, transformation, and human performance, she has led complex international change programmes, from cultural transformation initiatives supporting Colart’s BCorp journey to restructuring its China operations, where she relocated for two years to lead change on the ground. Her ability to work across cultures and matrix organisations enabled her to deliver sustainable results in complex environments.
Jane’s approach extends beyond traditional HR. She integrates commercial priorities with people strategy: designing reward frameworks aligned to growth, realigning global teams to improve margins, and embedding leadership development programmes that directly link capability to business outcomes. Her work consistently delivered measurable results while strengthening organisational cohesion and leadership effectiveness.
Earlier in her career at Colart, Jane held senior HR leadership roles, where she led business alignment, acquisition integrations, manufacturing consolidation, and built strong union partnerships that enabled major restructuring without conflict. She also led early focus on sustainability that reduced CO₂ emissions by over 25% and secured accreditations including Investors in People and ISO 14001.
Her broader experience includes HR leadership roles at Friends Provident, BSI, and HJ Heinz, where she developed expertise in organisational design, industrial relations, and policy development. With her degree in Applied Psychology, she began her career with the Royal Army Educational Corps and she continues to underpin her analytical and behavioural approach in the way she works.
Jane is a qualified executive coach and holds postgraduate diplomas in employment law and personnel management. She combines this technical expertise with a highly relational style, using coaching and advisory skills to build trust, unlock potential, and foster high-performing cultures. Her work is grounded in a simple belief: sustainable business success is achieved through people when strategy, culture, and leadership are fully aligned. A philosophy recognised with her recent recognition by HR Today with the Global Women Leader – HR Excellence Award 2026.
In addition to her executive career, Jane serves as a trustee for charitable organisations, reflecting her commitment to community impact and inclusion. In her personal life, family, sport, travel and art feature highly driven by a sense of learning, curiosity, adventure and fun.
