Summary
Since joining People Puzzles, Ben has partnered with businesses across many sectors including rail consultancy, HVAC, hospitality, manufacturing, equipment and plant hire, IT support, and technology — helping leaders build strong people foundations, improve performance, and scale with confidence.
Ben works closely with leadership teams to develop practical, commercially grounded people strategies while also delivering hands-on support where needed. His experience spans high-growth environments, owner-managed businesses, and complex organisational change, including mergers, acquisitions and diversification.
He is known for quickly identifying what’s holding a business back and implementing people solutions that unlock performance and engagement.
Before becoming a consultant, Ben progressed from HR Advisor to Director of People & Culture within large corporate and SME environments. He previously ran his own hospitality business for seven years, giving him first hand insight into the commercial pressures facing business owners and the critical role of effective people management in driving performance and controlling costs.
Ben has a strong track record in improving business performance through employee engagement and is proud to have led one of his former organisations to achieve 2nd place in the Times Top 100 Mid-Sized Companies to Work For, alongside a world-class 3-star Best Companies engagement rating.
Across his career, Ben has worked across many sectors and has spent lots of time in ambitious SME organisations – experience which now complements the diverse portfolio he supports at People Puzzles.
