Helen’s career includes significant roles with HSBC, Nationwide Building Society and the British Business Bank. Most recently as Chief People Officer at Bibby Financial Services, she created and implemented a people strategy during a period of turnaround and growth across multiple regions, including the UK, Europe, and Singapore. Her achievements include gaining board approval for a revised people strategy, leading organisational design reviews for efficiency gains, and launching a talent strategy that reduced external recruitment costs and turnover.
At the British Business Bank, Helen served as Chief People Officer, where she created and delivered the people proposition as the bank grew into a medium-sized organisation. She led a transformation programme to align leadership behaviours, training, values, and the brand strategy to enhance customer experience, and introduced a hybrid working model that leveraged technology and evolved the organisational culture.
Helen’s tenure at Nationwide Building Society as HR Director and People & Culture Transformation Lead saw her leading the people transformation for the newly formed Relationships & Distribution division. She drove the talent and succession agenda, led an organisational effectiveness programme, and negotiated new working patterns to improve workforce planning and employee engagement.
Helen holds a Graduate degree in Business & Finance from Nottingham Trent University, a Post Graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management (CIPD), and is an accredited Senior Executive Coach & Mentor. She is also a Neuro Linguistic Practitioner, bringing a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role as a Fractional People Director at People Puzzles.
