Summary
Simon is a Chartered Fellow CIPD with over 25 years’ experience as a senior HR Leader delivering successful people solutions both in the Corporate and Interim contexts for a range of organisations from FTSE250’s through to the smallest of SME’s. A natural ‘Director/Motivator’, Simon has built his success through the deep understanding of the organisation’s commercial ambitions, aims and constraints and the subsequent delivery of no-nonsense people solutions and business strategies designed to meet these requirements and limitations.
Throughout his career, Simon has worked as a senior leader & HR Director for large organisations including CBRE, Mouchel, Alfred McAlpine, Thomas Cook Airlines, Alpha/LSG Sky Chefs, Manchester Airport Group, Gatwick Airport Ltd, Kier, Advanced and Amey. Additionally, he has also worked for a number of smaller clients including E.K. Williams, Slice Studios, Polartech and eMcRey. His sector experience is equally as diverse having worked in Civil Aviation, Infrastructure Management, Construction, Professional Services, Catering & Logistics, FM, Manufacturing and Software Development and Support.
Simon has an extensive HR toolkit having undertaken tasks as varied as wholesale Organisational Change, Business Improvement, Mergers & Acquisitions and nationwide Trade Union negotiations, through to Strategy Development, the creation of Leadership Development programmes and IT systems scoping and implementation. Simon is an Employment Law specialist having managed cases at every stage of the process, even including Client Representation at the Employment Appeals Tribunal. He is also an accredited Pensions Trustee.
His professional strength is in his ability to identify Business Improvement strategies delivered through the organisation’s people and the development of such strategies that are realistic and pragmatic and that avoid un-necessary administration and bureaucracy.
